For every escrow closed, van den Bossche and her Exec-Elite team donate a Goat and Two Chickens to provide nourishment and self-sufficiency to families in need worldwide. What started with a motto, Be A Blessing and a Servant, has evolved into hundreds of donated animals annually.
According to World Vision, a healthy dairy goat can provide up to 16 cups of milk a day. Goat milk is easier to digest than cow's milk and is an excellent course of calcium, protein, and other essential nutrients that growing children need. Goats are practical animals, flourishing in harsh climates while producing valuable manure to fertilize crops and vegetable gardens.
Chickens are equally easy to raise and can naturally multiply to impact generations of children. More on the gifting program can be found at World Vision.
We partner with World Vision in their work of empowering children, their families, and their communities to break free from poverty. This holistic, community-empowering approach is helping kids and families transform their own lives through self-sufficiency. To learn more or sponsor a child click this link.
The Exec-Elite team leads an annual Global 6k Walk & Roll for Water in Scottsdale-Paradise Valley each year.
World Vision provides more clean water than any non-government organization in the world. They work with communities around the world to help solve the puzzle of poverty -- providing things like clean water, nutritious food, education, medical care, economic opportunity, and spiritual development.
We are supporting a World Vision of clean water for all people. Walking 6k is equivalent to walking 3.72 miles, the average distance many are forced to walk several times each day in underprivileged countries for water. Much of the time this water is dirty and infected with disease, but these families have no choice. Collecting water each day frequently becomes the responsibility of the girls or the women, rather than attending school or learning other skills. The program helps provide water so that children have the opportunity to go to school, acquire education and training and gain self-sufficiency to benefit current and future generations.
During the event, we will also be gathering water donations to provide water to our local homeless through Phoenix Rescue Mission. The streets for the homeless are brutal, and clean water is scarce.
